THE Zimbabwean contingent of Keegan Shutt, Micheal Wallace, Kelvin Muchenje and Vincent Chidambazina tee off in the last four groups of today in the second round of the All Africa Golf Team Championships currently underway at Bulawayo Golf Club
Team Zimbabwe who are currently 4th placed after one round of competititon continues its assault on the title with Chidambazina first off the tee at 9.50 followed by Wallace at 10am.
Shutt is next off the tee at 10.10 while Muchenje tees off at 10.25.
In the first round, Chidambazina had the best round among the locals with a total 70 while Wallace was 2 over, Muchenje ended the day 5 over and Shutt was 4 over.
Team Zimbabwe coach Simon Murungweni is confident that his lads are still in the running and believes they will improve as the tournament progresses.
“I think we had a decent first round as a team. The course changed a little overnight ahead of the first round but I think the boys now have a better understanding of what the course demands,” Murungweni said ahead of Team Zimbabwe’s tee off today.
“I am certain they will get better with each round. We are fourth after one round 11 strokes behind leaders Team South Africa who have a total of 7 under after one round,” he added.
