Vincent four shots off pace at FBC Zim Open

Third- round leaderboard 15 Hollick (SA); -14 Fichardt (SA); -11 Micheal (SA), K. Vincent (Zim); -10 Follet-Smith (Zim), S. Vincent (Zim), Viljoen (SA) Kieran Vincent is four shots behind leader Micheal Hollick after an aggressive third round of the R2.5 million FBC Zimbabwe Open at Royal Harare Golf Club this Saturday.

The Zimbabwean shot a five-under-par 67 to leave him tied with Anthony Micheal in third.

Four birdies and a bogey took Vincent to three under through the front nine but he failed to build on that on the back nine with three birdies and a bogey.

Vincent, who plays on the LIV Golf Tour, is enjoying his game in this tournament and fired arguably the shot of the Open when he chipped from the bunker to birdie much to the delight of the sizable crowd.

“Playing in front of these fans, on my home course has been amazing.

“It’s been a great journey these past few days. I’ve had some awesome memories, and obviously I’m trying to keep making more of those,” Vincent said after his third round.

Last year’s Open winner, dropped an incredible seven shots during his third round, hitting four bogeys and a triple bogey.

Another of the Zimbabwe contingent, Ben Follet-Smith fired an impressive seven under 65, the best round of the day hitting nine birdies and two bogeys with five of those birdies in the front nine to finish tied for 5th with Scott Vincent and MJ Viljoen.

The elder Vincent was six under 66 in his third round hitting seven birdies, an eagle and bogey while Viljoen also had a third round six under 66.

Robson Chinoi struggled with the course comwting his third round one over. Chinoi was undone by double bogeys on the 7th and 11th and bogeys on the 1st and 13th.
