She is a star who was introduced to our small screens courtesy of playing the character of Namhla on South African celebrated soapie opera Generations The Legacy.
With many of her local fans longing for her to visit the city of Kings, Cosmopolitan VIP Club has made it possible for Thuli Phongolo to finally meet with her fans as she will be the face of an upcoming gig dubbed “Young Wild and Free” on 30 September, at the night spot.
To bring more excitement, Zimbabwean-born South Africa-based wheel spinner DJ Zandimaz has been roped in for the event, which will be hosted by local influencer and socialite Sakhile Sky will be the host for the night.
The gig which will mark the last weekend of September, is a ladies themed event with the special guest being the international TV personality and DJ, who will vamp up the Cosmopolitan’s VIP experience.
The gig is also meant to celebrate Bulawayo’s bevy beauties, while having a nice time with Phongolo, Zandimaz and Sky.
Ntando Ndlovu who is the club’s marketing consultant said Phongolo had everything they were looking for and she ultimately became the right candidate who will complement the upcoming event.
“We had some interesting candidates to explore and choose from. All of them had the criteria we were looking for which are elegance, charisma and an amazing rapport with the female audience.
“Thuli Phongolo was our favorite because she is someone that the young female generation looks up to.
“We then reached out to Phongolo and her team to inquire about her availability and we managed to secure a booking for our desired date which is 30 September,” said Ndlovu.
He said the gig is a must attend as fans will have a closer look at the Tv personality and they will be able to interact and take pictures with the star.
“Attendees can expect a mouthwatering performance and an up close view on how she got where she is right now. They will experience an up and personal interaction, while keeping the memory of this amazing night by getting pictures with the A lister.
“To top it off, there will be performances by resident DJ’s. Guest appearances from Bulawayo’s biggest artistes are also on the cards, as local influencer Sakhile Sky will be the host for the much anticipated night.
“Tasty cuisine and drinks will be available on the menu to wash it all down and complement an event graced by the classy Phongolo,” said Ndlovu.
