Itas a dream come true!
Every artiste has dreams to collaborate or mingle with best artistes that are his/her inspiration. However, it takes hard work for such dreams to come true and Mqondisi a?Skaivaa? Sibanda can testify to that.
The award winning house music production wizard has expanded his musical influence and territory as he is crossing borders spreading his Zimbabwean tribal inspired music with his latest show to be held at The Centurion Shisanyama in Pretoria, South Africa, on 27 April dubbed Freedom Day Braai.
Skaiva, who released an all-star track album titled Against All Odds last year, will be sharing the stage with the legendary DJ Christos, Bulawayoas South African precious export Oscar a?Oskidoa? Mdlongwa and the famous Tribal House duo of Black Motion.
The producer, who learnt music production under the South Africa deep house stable Soul Candy revealed that the opportunity came as a result of hard work.
a?It came as a surprise when I received a call from the organisers of the show approaching me to perform at the event.
All the artistes I am sharing the stage with were my inspiration when I was growing up especially DJ Christos.
a?To share the stage with such big artistes is a dream come true but I think I deserve it as I have worked hard to market myself as a brand so I can be recognised outside the country,a? said Skaiva.
The Imali Yeqolo hit-maker, who will stay in South Africa for only a week, revealed he was also billed for another show in Soweto where he will share the stage with DJ Big Sky.
They will also do a collaboration together.
a?I am also billed for another show in Soweto. Currently I am finalising negotiations with DJ Big Sky for a collaboration which fans should expect the best from,a? he said. .
