A MAN who suspected that his wife was two-timing him severely attacked her with a burning log on her leg and smashed her phone with a stone.
Rest Ncube from Burnside suburb in Bulawayo is a man who had no rest. Last week on Wednesday, while he was using his wife’s cellphone, he stumbled on an image of a man named Chris.
After that, Ncube fumed and in a fit of rage confronted his wife and quizzed her about the image in question. It is said his wife explained to him that the image was of his friend named Chris. The court heard, she told him in no uncertain terms that she was not in love with Chris.
But Ncube could not believe his wife’s explanation and raged at her but somehow she evaded him. Ncube picked a burning log from the fireplace and severely attacked her on the leg.
As if that was not enough, the furious Ncube took his wife’s phone and threw it on the ground before he smashed it with a stone leaving it in pieces.
After that, in a fit of anger, he destroyed household property that included a 21-inch TV, two-plate stove, 12 plates and six glasses.
