AN argument over music at a night spot in Umguza on the outskirts of Bulawayo turned horribly wrong for a man from Mzilikazi suburb when he was allegedly assaulted and left with a damaged eye.

While Taruvinga Zvinokona (48) was boozing with his friends at the night spot in question, he allegedly instructed the disc jockey (DJ) to play him any dancehall music and his request did not go down well with one of the imbibers Forman Ndlovu (33).

It is said Ndlovu started accusing Zvinokona of undermining them since they were the first to give the DJ their playlist.

The pair argued and the verbal war degenerated into a fist-fight.

At the height of the fight Ndlovu allegedly picked up a log and struck Zvinokona all over the body and left him bleeding from the head and right eye.

Zvinokona collapsed and was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital. After he was examined by the doctor it was discovered that his eye had been damaged.
