MUSIC festivals have soared in popularity in Zimbabwe and have no doubt become a key feature of the country’s entertainment landscape.
Harris Continental Music Festival in Bulawayo is rapidly ascending to the ranks of the country’s premier music festivals, consistently captivating attendees with electrifying performances, unforgettable experiences, and indelibly etched memories of musical brilliance.
This year’s seventh edition solidified HCM’s position as a thriving festival with an ever-expanding audience.
The highly anticipated event that has been buzzing in showbiz circles will take place at Queens Sports Club on 2 December.
The event organisers have since released the names of artistes and DJs that will perform at the event.
The headlining acts will be South African hip-hop sensation Cassper Nyovest and Zimbabwean dancehall icon Winky D.
Other notable performers include dancehall stalwart Killer T, acclaimed dancehall artist Jah Signal, and the dynamic duo Bazooker and Mr Grey.
Supporting the headlining acts are a host of local talents, including rising tribal house sensation Fab G MshanakaGogo, renowned DJs Mzoe, Stout, Eugy, Ash T, Liz, Fantan, and Levels.
The lineup, as always, is stellar, featuring both established favorites and some exciting discoveries. Acts like Winky D, Killer T, Jah Signal, and DJ Mzoe have consistently captivated audiences with their captivating performances.”
Their thrilling performances have undoubtedly contributed to HCM Festival’s rising popularity, and word of this musical extravaganza is spreading far and wide.
HCM Festival spokesperson Jodan Dube has expressed his unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional event.
“Preparations for the event are going well and so far we have released the names of the artistes that are going to perform.
“We are committed to bringing the best live entertainment to Bulawayo and Zimbabwe as a whole. This is why we are thrilled to add Casper Nyovest and Winky D to our upcoming event line-up,” said Dube.
He said they started preparing for the gig in January in order to try and improve the standards.
While fans are excited about the incredible lineup, they hope that Winky D’s history of outshining international artistes won’t pose a challenge to the event’s overall success.
