INJURED Warriors youthful defender Teenage Hadebe, who will be on a seasonas loan to Chicken Inn during the forthcoming 2016 Premier Soccer League season is doing light training at his parent club Bantu Rovers amid revelations that he was still negotiating personal terms with the Innscor sponsored outfit.
Last season Hadebe was on one-year loan to Highlanders where he had a stellar season which prompted his numerous national team call-ups and a week-long trial stint at South Africaas Absa Premiership side Ajax Cape Town.
a?Teenage is training at Bantu Rovers. Chicken Inn and Bantu Rovers reached a deal on the player long back, but the player is yet to report for duty at Chicken Inn as he is still negotiating some personal terms with Gamecocks. There are some sticking issues with regards to his salary but Chicken Inn are willing to pay him handsomely,a? said an impeccable source.
Chicken Inn were recently invited for a tournament in Zambia by Zesco United together with another Zambian side Zanaco and Tanzanian club in preparation for their Caf inter club football participation that starts in mid February.
Bantu Rovers general manager Wilbert Sibanda said: a?There are one or two things that we (Bantu Rovers, Chicken Inn and Teenage Hadebe) need to tie up. However, the player in question is doing some light training at our club.
Initially, owing to his knee injury he was told to rest,a? said Sibanda.
Early this month, after Hadebe went for a scan, medical doctors recommended that the former Highlanders defence kingpin undergoes an operation. However, the player seemed not keen on going under the knife.
a?I went for a scan and the doctors recommended that I should go for an operation. At the moment I am still deciding because I think that will be the end of my career because I will be forced out for about three months. However, I will seek more advice because at the moment I am resting. I am not training,a? we quoted Hadebe as saying in one of our editions.
Added the 20-year-old central defender: a?I wouldnat want to risk. Age is still on my side and I believe I will be fit again soon.a?
