A MAN who allegedly failed to pay for sexual services was stoned on the face, his palm was chopped with a machete and he later died in the bush.

Nomsa Ncube, Joyce Ntulikiso and Benard Maphosa appeared before Esigodini resident magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube facing a murder charge.

They were not asked to plead. They were remanded in custody to 10 April when they will appear before Gwanda regional magistrate for a trial.

A court heard that Moyo, who was at Mbalabala Business Centre, met Ncube, a sex worker and hired her for sexual services for the whole night. It is said Ncube charged him US$15.

After that, they went to her friend’s place in Ntulikiso where they put up for the night. The court heard on the following day Ncube asked for her money for the services rendered but Moyo did not keep his end of the deal.

It is alleged that Ncube reported Moyo to Ntulikiso who was with her lover Maphosa. Out of desperation Moyo gave Ncube R20 and promised to pay the balance on a later date.

But that did not go down well Ncube who charged at him, sensing danger Moyo ran for his dear life and the trio pursued him. It is said Ncube pelted him on the head with a stone causing him to tumble to the ground.

While he was lying on the ground Maphosa allegedly sliced off his hand with a machete, he bled profusely and died. After that, they attempted to hang the deceased’s body from a tree but they failed.

Ntulikiso rushed home and lied to her neighbour that they bumped into the lifeless body of a man in a bush. The matter was reported to the police and investigations were carried out leading to the arrest of the trio.
