Having guided a formidable line-up that won him the 2015 Premier Soccer League, Joey Antipas, the Chicken Inn gaffer has decided to shed off some excess weight from his dressing room.
Top of the chopped list are relatively aged players that he chose not to mention in the interview.
a�?We recently submitted our provisional squad to the Premier Soccer League. However, against a background of that we signed a couple of senior players that include Pride Tafirenyika, we will have to sacrifice some senior players who were with us last season. We should be doing that soon although we are seriously hoping to keep our squad intact. But one will always know that seasoned players come in and others go,a�? said Antipas.
Early this year the Gamecocks also roped in the ex-Highlanders duo of Obadiah Tarumbwa and Teenage Hadebe on permanent and seasona��s loan deal respectively.
Physwell Madhazi is also part of the senior players that were signed by Zimbabwea��s defending league champions in January. They also added a new senior arsenal that comes in the mould of striker Moses Demera who joined them from Flame Lily.
As if this was not enough, Chicken Inn are yet to decide on 21-year-old former Zambia youth international striker Trust Gomezani Mkandawire, who has been training with the Gamecocks for the past two weeks.
PSL clubs are expected to register 25 senior players plus five youths under the age of 20 and judging from developments at Gamecocks, one defender, senior midfielder and a striker are likely to be loaned out.

Word reaching B Metro Sport is that imposing forward David Temwanjira has already gone down the pecking order having struggled to justify his presence last season.
He faces stiff competition for a starting place upfront which comes from tried and tested Tarumbwa, hard running Mitchell Katsvairo and Demera who seems to be keen on carving his name at the Innscor sponsored outfit.
Temwanjira also failed to claim a starting place in the Antipasa�� star studded side that recently bowed out of their debut Caf Champions League campaign at the hands of Absa Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
