PRINCE Edward High School Athletics Academy known as the Cheetahs has confirmed participation at the White City Stars Academy Championships set for White City Stadium on Saturday.
Bulawayo Athletics Board (Bab) chairperson Watson Madanyika says they expect over 100 athletes to be part of the track and field meet.
“We are wrapping up our registration process and our number of registered athletes stands slightly above 100 athletes. Cheetahs from Harare have also confirmed they will be bringing a team for the competition. Administratively, all is set for the event,” said Madanyika.
Registration fees are pegged at US$3 for the relays, US$2 for the seniors and US$1 for the juniors.
This will be the third edition of the championships which have the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, mile, 3000m, 10000m, high jump and long jump on offer.
The event is sponsored by Sportszone, a sportswear and accessories company based in Bulawayo.
