WITH four months left on his contract, Highlanders coach Baltermar Brito has applied for the Warriors job, B-Metro Sport can reveal.

The Fifa appointed Normalisation Committee led by Lincoln Mutasa recently released adverts for jobs for national teams, ranging from the Warriors to the ladies side — the Mighty Warriors.

In stunning revelations, Brito let the cat out of the bag with regards to his contract status at Highlanders.

He is left with just four months, amid indications the Bosso leadership has not started negotiations for a contract renewal.

“As coaches we have to think about our future so our manager applied for the Warriors job. Highlanders is the biggest team in the country but the biggest job is coaching the national team. We have four months left in our contract with Highlanders, we don’t know if they will renew our contract so we have to think about our future,” said Brito.

News that Bosso might lose the highly rated Brito will certainly infuriate Highlanders supporters.

The Bulawayo giants sit at the apex of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with a five-point lead ahead of second placed Ngezi Platinum.

Bosso has not lost a match thus far, grinding results home and away.

The fine form of results has seen Bosso take command of the log standings, exciting its hard-to-please fans who are now dreaming of winning the league this season.
