IN a disturbing case of sexual abuse, an 18-year-old boy from Kokoloza Village in Lusulu area in Binga Matabeleland North Province allegedly sodomised a 13-year-old boy after he forced him to watch pornography.
The boy, who cannot be named for ethical reasons, appeared before Binga resident magistrate Victor Mpofu facing one count of aggravated indecent assault. He was asked to plead and was remanded in custody to 11 April.
Allegations are that on 25 February 2024 and at around 2pm at Kokoloza grazing area the complainant was herding cattle with his cousin who later left him alone while going to gather wild fruits.
When the accused arrived and found the complainant alone he accused him of letting his cattle graze in his field.
He then got hold of the complainant’s hand and force-marched him to a nearby river. The court further heard that after crossing the river he got hold of the complainant’s neck and forced him to lie face-down on the ground.
He then forced the complainant to watch pornography on his phone. The complainant reportedly tried to resist but the accused hit him with open hands on the head.
The accused removed the victim’s pair of trousers and allegedly had anal sex with him without his consent.
The complainant reportedly screamed during the act and the accused hit him on the head with open hands.
After the act, the accused grabbed the complainant and forced him to a field where he claimed the complainant’s cattle had been grazing.
He later escaped and reported the matter to his parents. They then reported it to the police, which led to the accused’s arrest.
