AN Afro-pop artiste from Bulawayo has released an album that speaks on societal challenges and love.
Bethwell Mwananzi popularly known as Bliss said the album Uhambo is set to highlight different issues affecting society.
“This is my second album and it is about love, societal challenges, respect and our African culture. It has tracks like Feelings, Hustle, Egoli and Mama. The key message is love and bringing to light the different challenges faced by the youth in society,” he said.
He stated that his desire to thrive as an artiste was drawn from the support he got from local radio stations after releasing his first track.
“I started my musical journey at a very tender age when I was singing in choirs. In 2021, I recorded my first single Uthando. The song was played by several local radio stations and this inspired me to do more,” he said.
Mwananzi highlighted that he chose Afro-pop as it allows him to convey a message to the public.
“My genre is Afro-pop and this is because I realised that it helps me convey the message easier to my audience. In the years to come, I believe that I will be on the international stage as an established Afro-pop artiste,” he said.
