Multi-award-winning Venda Gqom/House musician Bhadilah, real name Gift Lihlohonolo Ndlovu, is set to release a new single titled Thoma Ngane, which he said will redefine his craft.
Thoma Ngane loosely translates to Start with Me Lord.
On the offering, Bhadilah turns to God asking for blessings.
“My upcoming single is a gospel house track titled Thoma Ngane which translates to Start with Me Lord. It’s actually a prayer song of a hustler who begs God to always start with him when he blesses people in all life aspects.
“When writing the song, I realised that many people are left out or forsaken by God because they don’t have a connection with the Almighty.
“As a Christian, I use the song as a prayer asking God to always remember my name when he blesses other people,” said Bhadilah.
Lately, many of Bhadilah’s fans were looking forward to the Beitbridge-based muso releasing an album. However, he said he delayed the release of a full-length project because he wanted to dish out the best from him.
“This year I was lying low when it comes to music production because of school and other personal reasons. I had intended that I will release an album, something that my fans were looking up to.
“But I decided not to do a full-length album because I don’t want to release half-baked materials, I want to give my all to satisfy my fans, just like my upcoming single which I believe will redefine my craft,” said Bhadilah.
Bhadilah shot to fame in 2013 with the album “African Child” which he did while doing his Advanced level studies at JZ Moyo High School in Matabeleland South Province.
In his quest to start his musical journey, he used his school pocket money to fund the recording of his debut album.
Bhadilah is the first if not the only artiste from Beitbridge to have ever been nominated for the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (RoilBAA).
In 2019, Bhadilah was voted the Best Artiste in the Best Alternative category and outshone well established artistes like Tocky Vibes, Coco We Africa and Jazz Prosper at the Glam awards.
