Singer and radio host La Dee has managed to tap into the spiritual world, as she is set to drop a mystical song titled Khanyisa, a song which moved many as she first performed it at this year’s Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (RoilBAAs).

The single, set to be released on 9 December, features Trigga Pablo. It was written and performed by La Dee with Duduzile Ndlovu credited as the executive producer while Lungz D and Sparks 45 took care of the mixing and mastering.

La Dee said the song asks God to look down at His children and pave a way to eternity for them.

She also said her performance at the RoilBAAs was a litmus test as the masses proved to have given a nod to the song, certifying it as an instant hit.

“Khanyisa is a very spiritual song. It took me some time to come up with the lyrics or even to record it. There were glitches here and there but now I understand why, because it’s a very spiritual and powerful song that encourages people that through prayer and faith things do get better at times, it’s just a matter of time and one has to hold on.

“I worked with the most talented guys in the city who made sure the project is just as perfect as it is. I performed the song at the RoilBAAs and it was the best highlight for me this year.

“I really enjoyed my performance and people seemed to be so fond of Khanyisa. Out of all the songs I have released so far, I feel this one got all the attention it needs,” said La Dee.

The songstress acknowledged that the year wasn’t that fruitful to her musically and healthwise but she is ready to pick herself up and conquer 2024.

“2023 wasn’t the best year for me in the beginning due to some health complications and stuff so I was a little quiet musically. I took a gap for some time to focus on my health but in the past couple of months things eventually started to get better.

“I managed to get bookings. So, I guess the year is ending well for me and all the hiccups were preparing me for a better ending.

“2024 is surely going to be the year of greatness. I want to focus more on my craft and deliver what I should for my fans and everyone who supports La Dee’s brand,” she said.
