FC Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o spent time with the army in Cameroon as part of his ongoing community outreach in his homeland.
Eto’o took to social media on Thursday afternoon to reveal that he had spent time with army troops in Maroua, Cameroon, as part of his tour through the Far North Region of the country.
The 39-year-old was not there to don his fatigues, however, but rather to continue his charitable work in the region and to show his support to the military personnel.
“Had the pleasure of spending time in Maroua with my brothers and sisters in the army and witnessed their discipline, professionalism and selfless commitment to putting their lives on the line for our country,” Eto’o said.
“Good luck to the BIR and to those who fight for the honour of 237!”
Eto’o retired from football in 2019 after enjoying a trophy-laden career with the likes of FC Barcelona and Inter Milan, while his career also took him through Russia, England, Turkey and Qatar. – Kick off.com
